Megyn Kelly is firing back at the Hollywood star Sally Field after the two-time Oscar-winner appeared to apologize for being white while accepting a lifetime achievement award from the Screen Actors Guild on Sunday night.

 

Kelly Torches Field For Woke Speech

“I was a little White girl with a pug nose born in Pasadena, California,” Field said while onstage at the SAG Awards. “And when I look around this room tonight, I know my fight, as hard as it was, was lightweight compared to some of yours. I thank you. And I applaud you.”

This didn’t sit well with Kelly, who described Field’s speech as being “pathetic” and “baloney.”

“She’s very sorry about one thing and that appears to be the fact that she’s White,” she said, later adding, “News flash, White girls in America don’t have any troubles that are worth remembering when you’re in front of a group that has a lot of people of color.”

 

Kelly Doubles Down

Not stopping there, Kelly proceeded to double down by suggesting that Field could have given a powerful speech if she’d talked about what it was like to rise to fame in the Hollywood of the 1960s.

“Sally Field could get up there and say ‘I came up in the industry where the casting couch … was alive and well. That’s why we produced people like Harvey Weinstein,” she added.

Kelly then said that Field could have stayed “true to her personality” by saying, “Too many women from Marilyn Monroe forward have had to be subjected to that nonsense in order to get on the big screen. So I’m grateful for the opportunities that I created for myself and I nailed them. I did really well and I feel good about it.”

Unfortunately, Field did the exact opposite and went the woke route.

“She’s basically got to be like ‘I’m the little White girl from Pasadena and I basically suffered nothing like you people did here in this room,’” Kelly concluded. “How does she know? It’s so diminishing to people of color who are in the room. She just assumes that they are all oppressed? Why should she assume that they’ve all had it so bad?”

Adam Carrolla Responds

The comedian Adam Carolla, who was also a guest on Kelly’s show, responded by lamenting that Hollywood has gone so woke that actors feel pressure to say radically liberal things in order to get jobs.

“Actors need employment, and as we’ve seen over the last few years, people will cancel anybody, and they’ll never come back,” Carolla said. “So, giving speeches about systemic racism makes you more employable.”

Kelly concluded by saying that award show speeches like the one that Field gave need to end completely.

“Maybe [Field] can help by stopping the continuation of dividing us all so much,” Kelly said. “Could you just shut up? Just f***ing say thank you, honestly.”

Field Arrested With Jane Fonda

Field has long been known for being one of the biggest liberals in Hollywood. Back in 2019, she was even arrested alongside her good friend Jane Fonda at a climate protest in Washington D.C., according to CNN.

With her ridiculously woke speech, Field has shown that she’s just another Hollywood liberal who has lost all touch with reality. No wonder nobody watches those Hollywood awards shows anymore!
